A beef recall has been issued in Wisconsin due to possible E. coli contamination. JBS Swift Beef Co. has recalled approximately 41,000 of its beef products although no illnesses have been reported.
Roundys is warning consumers to check the freezers for beef products purchased at Pick N Save, Metro Market, Copps, and Rainbow supermarkets.
The beef has a use or freeze by date between April 25 and May 30th this year. Products can be returned for a full refund or exchange.
The strain of E. coli is believed to be E. coli O157:H7. For more information on E. coli, please click here.
