An Osseo teen must spend the next ten Christmases in jail as part of his sentence in a drunken driving crash that killed two young men.
On Monday, David Jacobson, 18, received a one-year jail term plus 10 years probation. He pleaded guilty earlier to two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle in a crash that killed 19-year-old Michael Hiatt and 23-year-old Shawn Loescher last August.
Eau Claire County Circuit Judge Paul Lenz said spending 10 Christmas Eves and Christmas Days behind bars will make Jacobson remember the victims he took from their families.
