An Oxford couple is facing felony charges of being party to delivering illegal articles to inmates after they were accused of creating a fake law firm to mail items to their son who is an inmate at Waupun Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin.
Prosecutors say Harry and Carole Gabelbauer sent information about witnesses to their son, Harry Gabelbauer, to help his appeal of a 60-year prison term for sexual assault and conspiracy to commit homicide. The mail could not be screened by the Dept. of Corrections because it would violate lawyer-client privileges.
