Romaine Lettuce Recalled for Possible Salmonella

Warning to Wisconsin shoppers: Keep a watchful eye out for Tanimura & Antle Inc. Lettuce of Salinas, Cal. The California lettuce grower has recalled 22,000 cartons of romaine lettuce. The manufacturer is concerned that the lettuce may be tainted with salmonella.
Wisconsin, along with 28 other states, received the shipments of potentially tainted romaine lettuce. The crop in question has the lot code 531380 and was harvested between June 25 and July 2.
Salmonella may cause diarrhea, vomiting and dehydration. It may also be fatal in young children, the elderly or those with weakened immune systems.
