As summer winds down, it is once again time to prepare kids for the new school year. For many parents, the cost of school supplies can be costly, which is why giving back through a backpack drive is so meaningful.
This event is an annual initiative with the sole aim of supporting students and families in our community. The Telemundo Backpack Drive provides each student with a free backpack filled with essential school supplies. Backpacks are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies have been exhausted.
There is no better joy than giving back to others, and this year, PKSD was honored to have the opportunity to co-sponsor Telemundo’s 2024 Backpack Drive, alongside Alverno College.
This year’s event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with parents and their children face-to-face. We loved seeing the smiles of everyone who stopped by our table as we handed out free T-shirts, chip clips, business cards and more.
