Toxicology reports show the teacher who was involved in the double-fatal crash in Washington County was intoxicated at the time of the accident
Rachael Olson, 34, had a BAC of 0.24% at the time of the accident which killed her and claimed the life of 60-year-old Bette Voek.
Olson, a sixth-grade teacher at Badger Middle School in West Bend, traveling southbound on Hwy. 144 in Washington County near Farmington when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with Donald Voeks, 58, and his wife Bette. Both Donald and his Bette had to be extricated from their vehicle.
According to authorities, Olson had been drinking at a West Bend tavern from 4 to 9 p.m. that day. Text messages found on her cell phone indicate that she may have been on her way to visit a friend. Olsons BAC at the time of the accident was three times the legal limit.
The crash occurred 3 miles from the Voekses home.
