10 Low-Rated Nursing Homes in Wisconsin

A Data-Driven Investigation by PKSD

Every year, Wisconsin receives roughly 10,500 reports of elder abuse, including thousands of cases involving nursing homes and caregivers. That is why PKSD Accident and Injury Lawyers launched a tool to help seniors and their families stay protected from the most dangerous nursing home facilities. Wisconsin currently has more than 300 nursing homes tracked through ProPublica’s database. Of those, more than 130 homes reported serious deficiencies, 285 reported infection-related deficiencies, and regulators imposed more than $13.2 million in penalties statewide. Public records also identified 96 payment suspensions tied to facilities across Wisconsin. The list below ranks the 10 low-rated offenders based on research conducted by Wisconsin agencies and third-party organizations.
