A tragic case of alleged elder abuse last year that left one resident dead at StoryPoint Senior Living in Mequon, Wisconsin has become a criminal case. Abrianna Clark, a Milwaukee woman who was an employee at the facility, has been charged with reckless second-degree homicide in the death of the 76-year-old woman.
The resident was allegedly pushed to the ground on November 7, 2024, causing her to suffer a broken hip. She died just 10 weeks after the original injury, on January 27, 2025. An autopsy confirmed her death was directly linked to complications from the hip fracture. In addition to the charges against her, the court has ordered Clark to pay a $12,500 bail fee. She has also been ordered to have no contact with the facility and is prohibited from working with the elderly in the future.
Physical abuse in nursing homes and senior living facilities causes immeasurable harm to vulnerable elderly residents.
