The Iowa Board of Nursing Home Administrators has not released a formal statement of charges. The facility received additional criticism for its overall poor quality of care, consistant shortage of competent nursing staff, and poor training of staff members. The federal government responded to these findings by imposing $42,180 in fines.
Currently, New London Specialty Care has a one-star rating for its overall quality and health inspections from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This is the lowest possible score.
