A 69-year-old man from Sauk City, Wisconsin, confessed to sexually assaulting two residents of a local nursing home within the past few months. He told authorities he hoped one of the victims would not talk about it.
The latest assault occurred on May 9 and the victim was a 95-year-old woman. The victim, a resident of Maplewood Nursing Home, told a nursing assistant about what happened. She said the man entered her room and began touching her even though she did not consent to it and asked him to stop.
When the man was questioned by police he confessed to assaulting the woman. He also told police about another sexual assault that he perpetrated four or five months ago at the same nursing home. The criminal complaint said the victim had health problems that prevented her from communicating.
The Sauk City man faces multiple charges for his actions, including second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault as a hate crime and intentionally subjecting an individual to abuse that did not result in physical harm.
