An Orfordville man was killed Sunday after his SUV was hit by a tandem axle truck at the intersection of Hwy. 213 and Hwy. 11 in Orfordville, Wis.

According to the sheriffs office, Harris Speich, 72, and his 71-year-old wife Ilene were traveling northbound on Hwy. 213 when they stopped at the four-way stop intersection. As their SUV entered the intersection, it was hit on the drivers side by the truck that was eastbound on Hwy. 11. Harris Speich was killed in the car accident while his wife suffered unspecified injuries.

Skid marks left by the truck indicate the brakes were locked before it entered the intersection. The trucks driver, Kevin Campbell, 27, of Washington, PA., and his passenger, James Opic, 31, of Wheeling, W. Va, were not injured.
