But, we will determine a range of value based upon our years of skill, experience and expertise in handling thousands of personal injury claims. However, that evaluation can only be made after we know the full extent of your injuries, we know the total medical bills incurred, the amount of wages lost and if a permanent injury is involved.

Probably not. Most cases are settled before a lawsuit is filed. However, it may be necessary to file a lawsuit to protect your rights and obtain full compensation for your injuries. If a lawsuit must be filed, most cases settle before you would go to court.

The period of time it takes to settle depends upon the nature of the accident and the extent of your injuries. We will attempt to settle your case after you have completed medical treatment, medical opinions are final and we know the extent of all of your damages.

Once the claim is submitted to the insurance company for settlement, it usually takes the insurance company about thirty (30) days to contact us with its response.

If the insurance company denies liability or damages, a lawsuit may be necessary. Obviously, if a lawsuit is filed, it will extend the period of time before any resolution. You should remain patient and firm in your pursuit of full compensation for your damages.

It depends upon your financial situation. In order to properly protect your assets, you should have liability coverage greater than the Wisconsin statutory minimum of $25,000.00. You may want to purchase medical payments coverage if you either have no health insurance or limited health insurance. You should maximize the amount of uninsured motorist coverage (UM) and underinsured motorist coverage (UIM) available. You should consider purchasing an umbrella policy of insurance which is surprisingly inexpensive.

Uninsured motorist coverage protects you and your family if you happen to be injured by a driver that has no insurance. Wisconsin does not require drivers to have automobile insurance. If you are insured, your policy must provide minimum UM coverage of $25,000.00. You should increase your UM limits as high as possible. It is the least expensive coverage you can buy. It provides financial protection for you and your loved ones in case of a severe injury caused by an uninsured driver.

Underinsured motorist coverage protects you and your family for injuries that may exceed the amount of the at fault driver’s insurance. You should increase the UIM limits as high as possible. It is also inexpensive to purchase this coverage. UIM will protect you or your family in the event of severe injury. The benefit of this insurance protection far exceeds its cost.
